GRIIDC by the Numbers

It has been ten years since the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) was created in response to the 2010 BP oil spill. Due to the Master Research Agreement with BP and the Gulf of Mexico Alliance (GOMA), the disaster resulted in the production of a plethora of data in the Gulf of Mexico that is publicly available in the GRIIDC data repository.

After 10 years of data collection, we thought this would be a great time to share some of our most noteworthy stats. We are very excited to see so many users downloading datasets and encourage you to search through our database for datasets that might be useful to you!
